ASDIP Foundation Updates History

Update 2.5.3 - 3/24/12

1. Improved the robustness of the program. Minimum values for f'c and fy are 1 ksi or 7 MPa or 70 Kg/cm2.
2. Now the soil cover automatically changes, so that it cannot be higher than the pedestal.

Update 2.5.2 - 2/4/12

1. The program now authomatically verifies if there is an update available at startup. If so, it downloads and installs the update, otherwise it runs the program normally.

Update 2.5.1 - 1/24/12

1. Corrected a problem with opening a file. In some instances an error message showed up.

Update 2.5.0 - 1/8/12

1. Major free release that includes a new module for Combined Footing Design. This new module represents one of our best accomplishments. Now the package includes spread, strap, and combined footings.
2. All modules have been modified to be DPI aware. Now the program looks fine when it runs on different DPI settings.
3. Multiple minor modifications in all modules to further improve the user interface.

Update 2.0.2 - 11/20/11

1. Included the corresponding sign for shears and moments to further improve the meaning of the results. (Spread Ftg.)
2. Fixed the bearing pressures for punching shear shown in graph. The calculations, however, were correct. (Spread Ftg.)
3. Corrected moment calculations for the uplift condition. Note that the program uses the plain concrete flexural strength when no rebars are specified. (Spread Ftg.)

Update 2.0.1 - 9/24/11

1. Corrected a problem with the one-way shear calculation in eccentric footings.
2. Minor graphics modifications to improve the readability.

Update 2.0.0 - 9/16/11

1. After a long period of development and testing, ASDIP Foundation is released and includes spread and strap footings.
