Update 2.1.7 - 4/14/12
- Corrected a problem where the concrete f'c field was greyed at some
instances of the cb-factor.
Update 2.1.6 - 3/24/12
- Improved the robustness of the program. Minimum values for f'c and
fy are 1 ksi or 7 MPa or 70 Kg/cm2.
Update 2.1.5 - 3/12/12
- Corrected a problem in Design | Beam | Find, associated with the recently
added w2 load. The calculation form was correct but the design module
ignored the w2 load, this giving a different ratio.
Update 2.1.4 - 3/4/12
- Corrected graph to show the "Continuously Braced" condition
in beams.
- Minor graphic improvements in all modules.
Update 2.1.3 - 2/25/12
- The Beam Design module now accepts two independent partially distributed
loads, w1 and w2. The user interface has also been improved. For example
if the load start dimension is larger than the end, now the program
matches both dimensions. The last version showed a pop-up message.
Update 2.1.2 - 2/3/12
- In the Base Plate module now it's possible to specify the number of
rebars per rod as anchor reinforcement. This is useful when the anchors
are in tension in a pedestal and the force needs to be transferred to
the vertical rebars of the pedestal. The program reports the required
development length, both straight and hooked, of the specified rebars.
Future releases will include these checks internally.
Update 2.1.1 - 1/27/12
- The program now authomatically verifies if there is an update available
at startup. If so, it downloads and installs the update, otherwise it
runs the program normally.
Update 2.1.0 - 1/13/12
- The program is now DPI aware, which means that it may run in different
DPI settings in your computer.
Update 2.0.9 - 9/16/11
- A "Rename" button has been added to the Project Manager.
- Corrected graph to show the "continuously braced" condition
in beams.
Update 2.0.8 - 4/1/11
- The combined forces ratio was reported incorrectly. Formula H1-1a
was reported as H1-1b and viceversa. The calculated ratio, however,
was calculated and applied correctly.
Update 2.0.7 - 2/7/11
- Fixes a problem with the Copy button in the Project Manager.
Update 2.0.6 - 12/20/10
- A problem was corrected with anchorage in base plates when there were
no tension rods. The program calculated as zero the shear capacity of
rods.
- Multiple minor improvements in all modules.
Update 2.0.5 - 11/20/10
- Now the minimum partial composite as % of the full composite may
be specified in Design | Criteria of the Steel Beam module. This is
useful to force the program to use more studs in order to reduce the
deflection.
- The Steel Beam Criteria values are now saved if the "Save as
default" check box is checked.
Update 2.0.4 - 9/22/10
- Problem corrected with anchorage in base plates for uplift.
Update 2.0.3 - 7/30/10
- A reported problem with printing the Steel Beam module was fixed.
Update 2.0.2 - 7/14/10
- Added "Save as default" option to the Units dialog box
in the Project Manager.
Update 2.0.1 - 7/2/10
- There was an internal problem with the location of the database file
that affected the Design dialog box.
- The negative moment from the cantilevers was not correctly accounted
for in the calcs of the non-composite beams.
