What is ASDIP?
ASDIP is a structural engineering software specially designed to assist you, using a simple and powerful approach, to transparently design, analyze and optimize all your daily design work.
Conceived and designed entirely by and for structural engineers, ASDIP works in a user-friendly environment with a series of rich and intuitive modular screens through the implementation of a specific design methodology. This structural design software has been developed with a deep understanding of the needs of the practicing structural engineers to resolve the most common design tasks encountered in any structural engineering office.
Through the development of design algorithms that combine the structural engineering theories with the latest building code provisions, ASDIP provides the design tools required by the structural engineers of today. Footings, shear walls, beams, columns, piles, web openings, retaining walls, corbels, masonry walls, anchoring to concrete, and much more can be designed with our products.
ASDIP Structural Software was founded in 1992 by Javier Encinas, MSCE, PE, who is a civil and structural professional engineer registered in several states in the US. Javier has led a group of professionals for more than 20 years during the development of this software, and he is personally in charge of the technical support. He has also been a practicing structural engineer for more than 30 years with a broad experience in industrial, commercial and institutional areas.
ASDIP was born in the old days of DOS, and then it went through the changing process of Windows 3.1, then Windows 95, etc. Currently, the software is based on the modern programming languages available nowadays, and it’s constantly being updated with the new Building Codes requirements.
